Principals -  Gary Fullerton

Gary FullertonGary Fullerton, a Senior Associate of IW, brings over thirty years of world-wide experience in energy & infrastructure project development & financing; project management; advising governments privatization policies & projects; and building & managing new ventures.

Currently, Mr. Fullerton is working with the Aqaba Development Corporation (ADC), a company formed to manage, finance and implement the development of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone, a 375 square kilometer area on the Red Sea, comprising multi-modal shipping operations, resort development, and industrial development. Previously, he has advised the World Bank on Indian port projects, the Saudi Electricity Regulatory Authority on private sector investment in power and desalination projects, and the Aqaba Water Company on creation of the company – among other consulting roles.
 
Prior to his current senior advisory roles, Mr. Fullerton was with Bechtel Corporation for over two decades, working in every dimension of project development and finance, including Vice President, Bechtel Enterprises International & Bechtel Financing Services, responsible for the Middle East, North Africa & Turkey, where he helped establish the European operations of Bechtel’s joint venture development companies – InterGen (power plants), International Water Ltd. (municipal water concessions), PSG International (pipelines), Incepta (telecoms joint ventures) and Alterra Partners (airport concessions) -- and introduced them to Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, UAE and other GCC countries. He also advised the Saudi Arabian Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu as to the creation of Marafiq, the integrated utility company (power, potable water, waste water and sea water cooling). Additionally, at Bechtel, he structured the financing and managed the development of privately financed BOO and BOOT-type infrastructure projects across Europe and the Middle East. Mr. Fullerton has a B.A. in Economics & Mathematics from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and an M.S. in Management Science from the Graduate School of Business, University of California, Berkeley.
